Do you charge to inspect a fault?

We try to be as fair as possible when it comes to a diagnostic. If we are able to work out what the problem is fairly quickly then there will be no charge for this service. If the fault is difficult to find, we charge a set fee of £25. This is refunded against the cost of your repair bill.

Do you offer logo design?

Yes! We offer a logo design service with or without our website packages. The price for a logo designed with unlimited revisions and transparent files for print is £50.

Will my data be safe if I book a repair?

While we make every effort to ensure no data is lost during repair, we accept no responsibility for it. It is your responsibility to back up any important data before handing it over.

I think I have a virus, do I need a new PC?

No, probably not! A virus, in most cases, will cause problems with your software rather than your hardware. We offer a service to completely remove all virus, malware and adware. Ask us for details.

Do you charge for delivery?

Currently, delivery is free to all UK mainland addresses. We do not offer an international postage service. If you are outside of the UK, please email us info@www.thecomputershoppreston.co.uk

Do you have any jobs available?

Do you charge if you can't repair my computer?

No! We try to be as fair as possible and offer a NO FIX NO FEE service. This means that if we cannot repair your PC or laptop then we will not charge you for our time spent trying.

If we can fix it and you decide that you don’t want to continue with the repair then a £25 diagnostic fee will be charged.

Can I buy online and collect in store?

Yes, you can collect your purchase from the store, but special arrangements may need to be made. Please email us at info@www.thecomputershoppreston.co.uk with your order number and request.

Do you repair mobile phones?

No, we do not repair hardware on mobile phones. In some cases, we will take on jobs to repair the software and some minor repairs.

Do you repair tablets?

No, we do not currently offer iPad and tablet repair. However, we do recommend somebody locally that does. Contact us for further information.
